KEEP YOUR QUILL WET

You write because words need to be said
It’s in the beauty of the world
Everything in life is an inspiration
A leaf falls from a tree
When the wind breezes past
Dancing to the tunes of the air
Mists dent the dawn of a beautiful sunrise
Keep your Quill wet
So when words start flowing
You will never stop writing

A rain drop falling from a deer’s nose
Crystal in its purity
Brings in summer rain
Fresh wet earth fill the air
Tantalizing the taste buds
You see magic in creation
Senseless excitement in love
Keep your Quill wet
So when words start flowing
You will never stop writing

You feel the heart beat of a woman in love
See the tears that fall
From a thirsty lonely soul
You know life can sometimes be unkind, lethal even
You understand seasons change rapidly
Once in love, then out of love
Keep your Quill wet
So when words start flowing
You will never stop writing

Dreams in the night give you awesome delight
Your feet run towards fantasy
Breathing in anticipation, longing
You sense a new day dawning
Creatures of the night howl
Owls hoot into the distance
When night comes
Keep your Quill wet
So when words start flowing
You will never stop writing

You experience a maddening love
Sweet pain breaking your heart
Moments of glory that last
Scents that confuse your inebriated heart
You know love does strange things
Love completes, then starts again
Keep your Quill wet
So when words start flowing
You will never stop writing

When winters come in
You wish you could see snow
Feel the cold beat your face gently
Breath in crisp lovely air
Then write about it
World’s full of hungry readers
Keep your Quill wet
So when words start flowing
You will never stop writing

Devour delicious gourmet foods
Like tomorrow will never exist
Drink fine, matured expensive wine
Bless your taste buds with exotic cuisines of the world
Put pen to paper at midnight then
Keep your Quill wet
So when words start flowing
You will never stop writing
